"I was very disappointed in this hoel it ruined this part of my vacation. THis hotel was described as a new hotel and the picture of the hotel that was on the internet was not what i got when i got there. THis hotel was by far not a new one. the room was not very clean not enough towels in room. ice machine was turned off on the second floor. i had requested a lower lever non smoking room this was not corrected when we arrived. there was no phone in the room, the tolet got plugged and over ran. the guy cleaned it up with our towels and then didn't clean or mop the floor and didn't replace the towels we had to ask for clean towels and got attitude from the desk person. there was suppose to be free service to six flags one trip to drop off and one trip to pick up at any time you wished to go back to the hotel but when we got there it was one trip and you had to go at 10:00 am and be pick up at the park at 9:30 pm when the park closed. the guy was late and we waited arounnd 20-25 min for him to pick us up after the park had closed. there was suppose to be a deluxe continintal breakfast well this consisted of 2 kinds of stale ceral that my kids wouldn't eat (but then again i wouldn't eat it either), there was orange and apple juce and lemonaide, white bread and cinomon swirl things ( the ones that cost like .79) and warm milk. the second day they had the same ceral and warm milk no coffee made no toaster out and when asked to bring it out only one side of the toaster was working this was not my idea of a deluxe breakfast. there was no air on in the hotel except what was in the room and when you left the room and the maid half way cleaned they turned the air off and we returned to a really hot and stuffy room. the pool area was quite dirty and the water was very cloudy at 10:00am after first opening. the hotel staff was very rude and not helpful in anyway. i would never recommend anyone to go to this hotel or another best western i was quite disappointed and this part of my vacation was ruined. i feel that the picture and statements about this hotel should be taken of the internet because this is false advertisment. this was not a brand new hotel and when we asked the hotel staff the comment we received was this is the newest hotel in the area. we would have left and went someplace different but all hotels were booked for this weekend. and the hotel wouldn't refund our money because we checked in after 4:00 pm so with this expense i couldnt have gone to another hotel if i had wanted to. again the only thing that would make me happy with this situation would be a total refund. i stay at hotel quite often and this was the worst experience i have ever had. i feel this hotel should be shut down they are out of code on almost ever aspect of safty there is. thanks for you time kathy lamb"

The Best Western of Waukegan is a new hotel. The building consists of blocks and precast concrete on the floor to eliminate sound problems. We also have a very large decorative lobby, indoor pool and spa, very large rooms and modern amenities. Our accommodations give our guests the best comfort, no matter what the season. Come and enjoy any number of recreational activities from fishing to snowmobiling or come to see the attractions, Great Lakes Naval Training Center and Six Flags® are only two to three miles away.
